Ms. Jill Green
This is my 34th year in public education. I am excited to return to the energy and excitement of working with students! I graduated from Radford University with an undergraduate degree in Education and a master's degree in Educational Leadership. My career started as a 6th grade English/Science teacher. I then had the chance to serve as the assistant principal at Northside Middle School for 2 1/2 years before taking over as principal of Glenvar Middle School and High School for 4 years. I'm returning to the Viking Family after serving 15 years in central office for another public school division. Let's go Vikings!
Ms. Leanna Rippey
This is my 11th year in education, and I am excited to start my third year at Northside High School. I graduated from Radford University with a degree in English Education in 2013, and I continued my studies in English Literature for my master's degree in 2015. In 2018, I started my Administration and Supervision master's at the University of Virginia. I taught college composition at Radford University as I completed my English Literature degree, and I then started teaching English at Lord Botetourt High School. I joined Northside as an assistant principal in 2022, and I am happy to continue working with the Viking community.
Mrs. Elizabeth Mauck
This is my 19th year in education. I graduated from James Madison University with an undergraduate degree in Business and Marketing Education and a Master’s degree in the Art of Teaching. For 16 years, I taught Marketing at Lord Botetourt High School and was the Work-Based Learning Coordinator for Botetourt County Public Schools. I completed my Educational Leadership degree from James Madison University and I am excited to be a part of the Viking Family again this year!
Mr. Jeffrey Swanson
I am excited to be starting my 21st year in public education this year. I have experience teaching high school and middle school English, history, and special education in Virginia and Arizona. I graduated from the University of Arizona with an undergraduate degree in Secondary Education and a master's degree in educational leadership, as well as master's degree in special education and a master's degree in English as a Second Language from Grand Canyon University. I am very excited to be at Northside High School and proud to be a Viking.
